Using the Biometric E-Gates

Spain's Policia Nacional have automated ABC (Automated Border Control) biometric e-gates on the La Línea side of the crossing.

• Eligibility: EU citizens with biometric identity cards or biometric passports, as well as UK biometric passports.
• The Process: Scan the photo page of your passport face down, step inside the airlock, and look directly at the camera.
• The Speed: This bypasses the manual stamping queues entirely, cutting times down to seconds.
