An inside look at exactly why the N-340 fails during summer and how our drivers route around it.
The N-340 is the original coastal highway. During the months of July and August, it transforms from a scenic drive into a gridlocked nightmare.
The core issue with the N-340 is that it acts as the primary access road for every major beach and local business, interspersed with roundabouts every few kilometers.
Our strategy is simple: elevation. We commit to the AP-7 toll expressway which runs higher up the mountain ridges, bypassing the coastal choke points entirely. We only descend back to sea level when we are in the direct vicinity of La Línea or Sotogrande, saving you immense frustration.
